Happy 40th Anniversary Rich & Francille!
Dear Family and Friends,
We wanted to take a minute to thank all of you for your participation in our parent’s 40th Anniversary “Virtual Surprise Party”!!!! It was a huge success! The responses far exceeded our greatest expectations. We were overwhelmed by the outpouring of love for our parents. We received so many letters, cards, emails, pictures, faxes, and even one DVD of videotaped greetings all the way from Milan, Italy! Our parents are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family to reach out and celebrate this special day with them!
My Dad made dinner reservations tonight for them at the Old Warsaw, a place often touted as being the “most romantic restaurant in Dallas”. A couple hours before they were to leave, we arrived at their home (Jenny, Brayden, Karly and Me, David, Everett & Pryce … sadly, Molly is in Los Angeles and couldn’t join us). We shouted “surprise, surprise” a few times (they looked a little confused) and then we presented them with a red box labeled “surprise”. (40th anniversary is the “ruby” anniversary – thus, the red box!). We explained that we hosted a “virtual surprise party” for them and had sent out a letter to everyone on their Christmas card list. (We confessed that Julie sneaked into their home to retrieve this list off their computer). When they opened the box and saw all the letters inside, they were both visually so touched and surprised! Mom even said she was tempted to skip dinner so they could stay home and read all their letters! We gave them a nice bottle of wine and told them they could open the letters after dinner along with the wine.
We’ve attached a couple of pictures of the happy couple for your viewing pleasure below.
Thanks to all of you for helping us give them such a special gift! If you didn’t get your greetings in the mail in time, feel free to still send them … but please mail directly to my parents.
Love to you all,
Jenny, Julie & Molly
P.S. My Dad did say “So that’s why we barely got any cards in the mail here!” Uh-oh – we didn’t think about the fact that they may have spent a day feeling a bit forgotten since the mail wasn’t delivered on their anniversary (A Sunday) and it wasn’t until we arrived with the “surprise box” at 5pm that they saw everyone’s cards! Oh well … I think it just made it even more of a surprise!!

Ginger finally lost her loose tooth this week. She put it in the beautiful tooth fairy pillow given to her by Willa. The tooth fairy gave her a dollar. She wrote the tooth fairy to say thanks and that she loved her, and also to let her know that when her next tooth fell out that she wanted a toy. I am attempting to upload photos from the reunion tonight on to shutterfly. Hope everyone is well!
